SAT I

Starting 2016, the SAT has made some very important changes.

eWay is always researching and incorporating the latest developments and trends, therefore enabling students to more easily and fully prepare for the new SAT.

Our SAT teachers will cover the necessities intensively, completely, and carefully.

The new SAT includes the Reading Test, Writing and Language Test, and Math Test.

What Has Changed?

  • Vocabulary

The new SAT focuses on important, widely used words and phrases found in texts in many different subjects. Students no longer need to memorize obscure words, only to forget them the minute they finish their tests.

  • No Penalty

You won't lose points for any wrong answers anymore. You simply earn points for questions you answer correctly. There is no advantage to leaving any questions blank.

eWay SAT Program: How We Prepare Our Students

  • Vocabulary

On the new SAT, there are no direct questions on vocabulary words. However, we believe studying for more vocabulary words will difinitely be beneficial when students take Reading and Writing Tests. So we still practice memorizing vocabulary words.

  • Testing

We have a testing system that immitates the real SAT Exam. We follow the SAT time system with a proctor. We make a quiet atmosphere during testing to make sure student are able to fully focus.

  • Review Sessions

  1. Reading Comprehension

Students will learn to find the purpose and main ideas of passages. Students will also annotate on their reading passages so they discover what they do not know, which parts they tend to be confused with, and which parts they feel confident with. This helps students to develop their self-study skills, while the teacher is there to answer any questions thoroughly.

  • Analyzing Multiple Texts
  • Analyzing Quantitative Information

2. Writing

Our Writing review sessions primarily focus on the development of students' grammer and essay skills. Students will discover the strategies they need to remember the correct grammer rules. Also, through going over the essay, students are able to gather ideas of how the essay should be formatted. what the purpose of the topic is, and how to improve their writing skills.

3. Math

We make sure all our students fix their mistakes before leaving the class. SAT Practice Exams consist math questions that have very similar concept as the real SAT. So in order for students to increase their scores, it is important that they learn and understand the new concept. This way, students can minimize number of questions they get wrong, simply because they did not understand the concept.
